Chennai Love Story Movierulz
When the makers of Baby announced their next film, I paid attention — Baby was one of the rare Telugu blockbusters that earned both box office rewards and National Awards. Chennai Love Story comes from the same writer-producer, Sai Rajesh, and while it is not a sequel, it carries that same emotional DNA. If you searched for chennai love story movierulz, here’s what to know before you watch.
This 2026 Telugu supernatural romantic drama is directed by Ravi Namburii and stars Kiran Abbavaram and Sri Gouri Priya in the lead roles. It released theatrically on 24 July 2026, runs for 179 minutes, and went on to gross over 60 crore worldwide — a genuine commercial success.
Story & Plot
Nivi (Sri Gouri Priya), an MNC employee, is shattered when her boyfriend cancels their marriage at the last moment. She slips into post-breakup depression and alcohol addiction. On an evening at a Chennai beach, she and her friends meet Steven Shankar (Kiran Abbavaram), an orphan and aspiring filmmaker chasing his dreams in the Tamil film industry. Steven talks his way into staying at their place for a few days — and slowly, his stubborn optimism starts pulling Nivi out of her darkness.
The film builds their bond patiently, then layers in a supernatural-tinged twist I will not spoil here. The questions that drive the second half — why did Nivi’s first boyfriend really cancel the wedding, and can Steven and Nivi’s fragile happiness survive what comes next — kept me watching to the end.

My Review
An emotional romance that earns its tears, even if it overstays slightly. My rating: 3.5 out of 5.
For anyone looking for a chennai love story movie review without the fluff: Sri Gouri Priya carries this film. Her portrayal of a woman drowning in depression and addiction feels raw and honest, and it is easily her strongest performance so far. Kiran Abbavaram is likable and restrained as Steven — a nice change from his usual intensity — and the chemistry between the two feels earned rather than forced.
Mani Sharma’s background score adds real emotional weight, and the Chennai setting is used beautifully. My gripes: at nearly three hours it sags in the middle, and the supernatural element may not convince everyone. But the film commits to its emotions, the twist lands, and the climax left the theatre I was in genuinely moved. If you liked Baby, this one deserves your evening.
