The Girlfriend Movierulz: Watch The Girlfriend Online Free – Trailer & Review
The Girlfriend Movierulz
Rashmika Mandanna has played the bubbly love interest many times, but The Girlfriend asked something much harder of her — and I think she delivered the best performance of her career. This 2025 Telugu romantic drama tackles toxic relationships head-on, and it stayed with me longer than I expected. If you searched for the girlfriend movierulz, here’s what to know before you watch.
Written and directed by Rahul Ravindran, the film released theatrically on 7 November 2025 and runs for 138 minutes. It stars Rashmika Mandanna as Bhooma Devi alongside Dheekshith Shetty, with Anu Emmanuel, Rao Ramesh, and Rohini in key roles. It was produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment and Geetha Arts.
Story & Plot
Bhooma Devi (Rashmika) is an MA Literature student in what looks like a fairy-tale college romance. But slowly, almost invisibly, her relationship turns controlling and toxic. Her boyfriend’s unpredictable behavior, his anxiety, and the shadow of another woman push Bhooma into obsession and emotional turmoil.
The film’s real subject is how Bhooma recognizes the toxicity and finds her way out — a journey the director handles with unusual honesty for mainstream Telugu cinema. I will not spoil her path to freedom, because watching her reclaim herself is the emotional core of the film.

My Review
Rashmika’s finest hour in a brave, uncomfortable drama. My rating: 3.5 out of 5.
Anyone looking for a the girlfriend movie review with an honest verdict: this is not a perfect film, but it is an important one. Rashmika strips away the glamour and plays Bhooma with raw vulnerability — her breakdown scenes are genuinely affecting. Dheekshith Shetty is convincingly unsettling without turning into a caricature, and Rahul Ravindran’s direction is sensitive to a subject most commercial films would sensationalize.
The pacing dips in the middle and the film occasionally spells out its message too loudly. Box office numbers were modest, but the critical appreciation was real. If you have ever been in — or watched a friend survive — a controlling relationship, this film will resonate deeply. It is uncomfortable viewing in the best possible way.
