Pelli Sandadi Movierulz

I went into Pelli Sandadi expecting a light wedding comedy and came out humming the songs for days. This 2021 Telugu musical romantic comedy is a spiritual sequel to the 1996 classic of the same name, and it leans hard into old-school romance: colourful songs, big family emotions and a hero who wears his heart on his sleeve.

If you searched for pelli sandadi movierulz, here is the quick version: a 2021 Telugu musical romance starring debut leads Roshan Meka and Sreeleela, directed by Gowri Ronanki under the supervision of veteran K. Raghavendra Rao.

Story & Plot

The story follows Vashishta, a champion basketball player, who meets Sahasra at a wedding and falls for her at first sight. The problem is Sahasra’s father, the strict family patriarch Pattabhi Ramayya, who is completely against love marriages. The film is framed through a present-day track where an aspiring filmmaker wants to turn Vashishta’s life into a biopic, and he narrates how he won over his lady love. No spoilers here, but the film plays the will-they-won’t-they game in classic Raghavendra Rao style, with lavish song sequences doing much of the emotional heavy lifting.

Cast & Crew

Pelli SandaD is a 2021 Telugu-language musical romantic comedy directed by debutant Gowri Ronanki, with direction supervision by K. Raghavendra Rao, who directed the 1996 original. My Review

I will be straight with you: Pelli Sandadi feels like a film from another era, and whether that charms or bores you depends on your taste. The songs are genuinely lovely, Keeravani’s music is the film’s strongest card, and the two newcomers have real screen presence. Sreeleela in particular dances beautifully and lights up every frame she is in. The comedy stretches, though, feel dated, and the plot follows every romantic trope you have seen a hundred times. I found it a pleasant, easy watch on a lazy afternoon rather than a must-see. If you love classic Telugu family romances, you will have fun. If you want something fresh, this is not it.

Pelli Sandadi is a nostalgic, music-driven romance that lives and dies on its songs.
